3 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR HOUSE LOOK EXPENSVE: TIPS FOR LANDLORDS

While most houses might be structurally superior to others, it is not uncommon to find that sometimes people choose other houses over the obviously better ones.

There are a few tricks that can help boost the demand for your houses and make sure you have full occupancy throughout the years.

Use Plain Tiles

Floral and multicolored floor tiles are stressing to the eye. They give an impression of too many things going on at the same time. This automatically eliminates the potential tenants who may not simply like the flowers or the prints on those tiles. The other reason is that the flowers could be unmatched to the theme of the rest of the items that the tenant has in her house. For people who like order, they would feel the need to change to match the house or look for a house theme that matches theirs. Since it is impractical to keep changing one’s drapes or patterns every time they move to a new house, they choose to look for a house with plain tiles.

Be Precise In The Painting Works

When the paint smudges other parts of the house that are of a different colour or made of a different material, it creates an eyesore. It pays to employ a professional painter as opposed to hiring a person with no experience because of a low budget.

Choose The Wall Colour Wisely

It would be better to paint the walls in either cream or pristine white. Very intense colours like green, orange and blue should be left to salons and barbershops. Plain colours also give the tenant an easier time customizing the house to their liking.

Surely, painting all houses the same assumes that all the tenants have the same preferences which cannot be further from the truth. Get the angles right. With the exception of a few, most household furniture is made with a rectangular house in mind. Rarely would you find a bed shaped like a trapezium, yet some houses are made with such angles.
